Columbia Children’s Museum’s first annual Lobster Fest is almost here! The event will feature fresh lobster prepared on sight, locally-brewed beer, and music provided by Variety Records in historic downtown Columbia.
The event begins Saturday evening, November 1 at 5 p.m. in Whiskey Alley next to the children’s museum, which is located on the Square in downtown Columbia. A special thank you goes out to the sponsors of the event, who include: First Farmers & Merchants Bank, Gale Moore for Mayor of Columbia, NHC Hillview, Children’s Dental Associates, Maury Regional Medical Center, and Perfect Print Advertising.
Tickets may be purchased at aMuse’um or through TicketsNashville.com. The price of the ticket includes food, beverages and music and tickets should be purchased by Friday, October 24.
Edward Moore, local cook and administrator at NHC Hillview, is organizing the event and will be preparing the food. An avid supporter of downtown businesses, Mr. Moore says, “I had the idea for this event after being at Columbia Children’s Museum’s Food Truck event this spring. Whiskey Alley is such a great, underused space and I want this Lobster Fest to be a new, exciting event that really showcases downtown Columbia and the great work of our nonprofit children’s museum.”
