Sonnenschein Green Initiative will sponsor a Green Evening Café next Tuesday, December 9th. The topic for the evening will be Alternative Heating and Cooking, with Kenny Brown leading the discussion. During the cold winter months, there are always concerns about how to stay warm and cook if power goes out for extended periods of time. Come to the meeting and share your strategies and ideas.
The doors open will open at 5:30pm for the Sonnenschein Marketplace, where local artisans, gardeners, farmers, and vendors offered locally-grown produce, crafts, food products, and health & beauty products for sale. This will be the last Sonnenschein Marketplace event as the concept evolves into the Hohenwald Marketplace this week.
This will be a busy week at the Emporium, with additional activities on Thursday and Saturday, before the Green Evening next Tuesday.
Thursday, December 4th, is the local Christmas Parade and the Emporium will be open for local vendors between 4-9pm. Local artisans, farmers, and entrepreneurs are invited to bring their products for sale that afternoon at the Hohenwald Market Place. The public is invited to step in from the cold and browse the vendors’ booths before, during, and after the parade.
Saturday, December 6th, is the date for the Historical Tour in Hohenwald. The Hohenwald Market Place will be open 9-5 on Saturday inside the Emporium Café. The public is invited to come in to pick up tickets and Tour Programs, and visit the Hohenwald Market Place vendors that have been invited to set up in the Emporium that day.
During the Hohenwald Market Place events, you may find the perfect Christmas gift or stocking stuffer. So come and support our local families and entrepreneurs!
